Bethany Beach 4th of July Parade

The year 2010 represents the 27th Independence Day Parade and Celebration in Bethany Beach.  July 4th 2010 falls on a Sunday. Since the town uses the grounds and facilities of St. Ann’s Church and the Christian Church Conference Center to assemble our parade, it precludes them from using those grounds on the 4th of July in 2010.

Enjoy live concerts by the MD Army National Guard. Bring a chair or blanket and bring the whole family! July 6 from 8-9:30 p.m. Live Fire Rock and 229th Jazz Band will perform. July 7 at 8 p.m. 229th Ceremonial Band will play marches and patriotic selections for 80 minutes with a brief intermission.

This well attended, juried craft fair is held every July and October at the Historical Complex at Second & Shipcarpenter Streets, just one block from downtown Lewes.  The show will be open from 9am until 4pm with a $5 admission fee benefiting educational and preservation programs at The Lewes Historical Society.  A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, July 11.  
Come spend the day and have lunch in the beautiful park of the shaded Historic Complex.   See the art work of the fine craftsmen of Delaware and the Eastern Shore and listen to live bluegrass music, performed by the band New and Used Bluegrass. Returning chef DK of Shawnee Country Club will be cooking pulled pork, beef brisket, and fresh tuna sandwiches.  The Village Improvement Association will be returning with a delectable assortment of homemade baked goods.

While in Ocean City, drive along the Avenue of Trees on Baltimore Avenue from 15th – 32nd Street.  Be sure to visit all of Ocean City, Maryland to create a lasting holiday memory. Wonderful holiday parade with high school bands, floats & marching units. Many activities in Gold Coast Mall following the parade. Saturday, 11 a.m. Parade route tentatively: 100th Street north to 115th Street at mall.

Monday evening along Rehoboth Avenue beginning at 6:30 p.m. A local tradition, the parade will feature more music, more costumes and more fun than ever, with volunteers from the Fire Department, Police, Public Works and community organizations. Dozens of local groups, bands and participants have already signed up. Line-up starts at 4:00 The parade begins at State Road, travels East to the Boardwalk and the turns West and goes back up to the Convention Center.
